Liberty Grounds is a proud family and veteran-owned business in the heart of downtown Liberty, NC, established by Ginger and Paul VanNess. Originally from Cana, VA, and Greensboro, NC respectively, Ginger and Paul married in 2016 and moved to Liberty, NC, with their 5 children. While Ginger, a healthcare worker, and Paul, an electrical technician and HVAC contractor, previously had no prior experience in the coffee industry, they both recognized a need in the community for a welcoming gathering place. Despite their backgrounds, they were driven by a shared passion for creating a space where people could come together, relax, enjoy a beverage and each other’s company. Their son, Eli, an aspiring chef, adds a special touch to the experience by crafting all the house-made syrups, chai, and specialty drink recipes, ensuring a unique and delightful offering for every visitor.
